                                                                                                   NERIC Regents Reporting Service

NERIC offers a Reporting Service for the January and June administrations of the Regents exams.   Districts provide general demographic data for the students who are eligible to take the test.  NERIC provides either preprinted answer sheets or labels that can be placed on NERIC’s blank answer sheets.  The answer sheets (to see a sample answer sheet click on English Comp or Integrated Algebra) are plain paper forms that are very similar to the form provided for each student in the Regents Test Booklet by the SED.
The scoring is after-the-fact.  District staff must initially score the tests so the results will be available for determining which students passed and failed the exam as well as for reporting to students and parents.  The results are District, School, Teacher, Student Reports (to see sample reports click on English Comp or Integrated Algebra).  In addition to the printed reports NERIC creates two (2) data files in csv format: fact and response.  Regional reports that reflect all students whose tests are scored by NERIC will be provided to all those who participated in the service at no additional charge.  The 2009-10 cost of this service is $4.25 per student per test; note that the minimum scoring charge is $71.00 per test and the maximum is $1,110.00 per test.
NERIC is able to process the following Regents Exams for the January and June administration:  Chemistry, Comprehensive English, Earth Science, Geometry, Global History & Geography, Integrated Algebra, Living Environment, Math B, Physics, and US History & Government.  NERIC does not process the August Regents.
